About the aim trainer
Updated
The aim trainer shows one round target at a time at a random spot in the arena. It times each target from the frame it appears until you hit it, and counts clicks that land outside the target as misses. At the end of a 30-target round you get your average and fastest time per target, accuracy and total round time, and the best average for each target size is kept for this session. It works with a mouse, a trackpad or taps on a touch screen.
How to use it
- Choose large, medium or small targets.
- Click Start or click the arena to begin the round.
- Click or tap each target as soon as it appears; clicks that miss lower your accuracy.
- Read your average time, accuracy and best average, then try to beat it.
Frequently asked questions
What is a good average time per target?
It depends on target size, screen size and input device. Smaller targets and larger screens take longer. Compare your own runs at the same size rather than other people's scores.
How is accuracy calculated?
Accuracy is hits divided by all clicks inside the arena during a round. Every click that lands outside the target counts as a miss.
Does my mouse affect the result?
Yes. Sensitivity, acceleration and sensor quality all change how quickly you can land on a target. You can check your mouse with the DPI and polling rate tests.

- What is a good CPS?Take a CPS test and see what a good click speed is, how jitter and butterfly clicking compare, how to click faster and whether it can wear out your mouse.
- Mouse DPI explainedWhat mouse DPI means, how to check your real DPI with a DPI test, how it differs from sensitivity and polling rate, and the settings gamers commonly use.
- How to improve your aimUse an aim trainer to measure your aim, then improve it with a warm-up routine, a steady sensitivity, the right monitor settings and a weekly plan.
